Zero-Emission Vehicles

Zero-Emission Vehicles (ZEVs) are vehicles that produce no harmful emissions from their propulsion system. This term typically refers to electric vehicles (EVs), hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, and other technologies that do not release tailpipe pollutants such as carbon dioxide (CO2), nitrogen oxides (NOx), or particulate matter during operation. ZEVs are designed to contribute to reducing air pollution, mitigating climate change by decreasing reliance on fossil fuels, and promoting sustainability in transportation. These vehicles are often supported by various regulatory frameworks and incentives to encourage their adoption as part of a broader strategy to transition to cleaner energy sources and enhance environmental quality.
