Hydrogen Energy

Hydrogen energy refers to the energy derived from the chemical energy stored in hydrogen molecules. It can be harnessed through various means, the most common being the process of electrolysis, where water is split into hydrogen and oxygen using electric current. The hydrogen produced can be used as a clean fuel source, either in fuel cells—where it reacts with oxygen to generate electricity, with water as the only byproduct—or through combustion. Hydrogen energy is considered a renewable energy option because it can be produced from a variety of resources, including water, natural gas, and biological materials, and it emits no greenhouse gases when utilized. Due to its potential to provide a sustainable and clean energy solution, hydrogen is increasingly seen as a key player in the transition to a low-carbon economy and the reduction of reliance on fossil fuels.
