Electric Vehicles

Electric vehicles (EVs) are automobiles that are powered entirely or primarily by electric energy, typically stored in batteries. Unlike conventional vehicles that rely on internal combustion engines fueled by gasoline or diesel, EVs use electric motors for propulsion. The electric energy in an EV is usually supplied by onboard rechargeable batteries, which can be charged from external power sources. EVs are known for their potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and dependence on fossil fuels, contributing to cleaner air and environmental sustainability. They can vary in design, including fully electric vehicles (battery electric vehicles, or BEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), which combine both electric and internal combustion power sources. The rise of EVs has also led to advancements in charging infrastructure and battery technology, promoting broader adoption in the automotive market.
